The XL5 analyzer features a compact design and advanced electronics that allow the X-Ray source and fluorescence detector to be closer to the sample, improving limits of detection and shortening measurement time, especially for light elements. With a lightweight, ergonomic design, the XL5 analyzer can be used continuously throughout the day with less fatigue.

The XL5 is the newest and most advanced member of the Niton family of portable X-Ray fluorescence (XRF) analyzers. It is purpose-built to verify metal alloys for manufacturing quality assurance and control; achieve positive material identification in seconds, and perform accurate elemental analysis for scrap metal recycling operations.
